I'm so exhausted after today's shopping at Parkway Parade, right after my flute lesson ended!

For my music lesson, I'm very happy that today shall be my last flute lesson and there won't be any flute lesson and music theory lesson for the next two weeks until the 7th of January next year! Hahaha! Yeah! Ayway, I still enjoy them very much!

I'm pleased that I'm now starting my Grade 5 flute for today's last lesson so I will still continue from there next year! Yeah! 3 more grades left to go! And I can call myself a FLAUTIST after that! Hahahahahahahahaha (=_+)""

Yep, once you fully completed all grades on an instrument, you can be any "ists", like a pianist, violinist and blah blah. If you are still in your grades, you are considered a learner as you are still learning. I thought I was called a flautist once I started my grade but my mother corrected me and said that if you have completed all grades which is, until Grade 8 or even Grade 9, the final level, you can be called one. Well, I supposed so but it does makes sense. If you stop haftway just because you know the basics and call yourself an "ist", then it is wrong because you haven't fully learn everything yet. It includes anyone, even me as well ok! LOL.

Music theory is very important to us, because once we mastered the music theory, we can be able to learn other instruments much faster than before as we have learned the theory. Famous musicians like Mozart, how did he compose? By using music theory. Without music theory, how can he be able to play his own piece when he don't even know what to write down the key points and know exactly what he is playing? Even if you play well, such like, testing the rhtyme just to make them sound good and then, start creating your pieces, you are playing nonsense because its not recgonised and people don't understand what your songs are trying to express, even if the rhtyme sounds good.

Thats why its the same for me. If I stop, it'll be difficult if I want to continue again.

Someday....

If I were to buy a guitar, I will buy books from any music stall and train myself with it since it's an easy instrument like any ordinary person can play. Plus, guitars are more of leisure instruments. They are not the performing ones. There may be some but they can only be performed in small groups. Imagine an oschestra, you already have the cello, bass, violin, why still need a guitar? When I asked my parents if I'm allowed to buy a guitar if there is one, they don't allow me!!! ARGH! They dislike guitars and said guitars are of lower class. I heard guitars can be played as church, rock, latin, those spanish and mexican people play, hehe. When I asked my mother if I could ever compose my own guitar songs, she said it might work but yet, unlikely to be. If I want to play my songs, I have to use others' song so that I can play my piece, definetely. She mentioned that the only people who can ever compose their own guitar songs are the rock bands, spanish and mexican because it's their style and it's the way how they play. This is how a guitar is used. So if I wanna compose my own, I will just have to follow my own rythme nicely and done. Luckily I'm learning music theory so it won't be a problem for me to compose my own guitar songs. Yet again, when I thought of my parents' opinions, they kind of make sense because guitars....you just play it at home, play in front of friends, just play any pieces you like, your fingers go "dong" "dong" "dong" on the strings all day long. Other than that, nothing new. Soon, you get bored of it. Waste money.... So I still gotta think about it....

If I were to buy a violin, it cost money and violins are difficult to master. Take years to be a pro. I love the way the violin expresses its tones....soooo...COOL!! Many people like violins but you know what? My dad dislike violins. He said they are too high pitched. LOL!!

Piano? See how first.

Flutes. Not many people have the "ability" to adjust their lips to blow into the flute hole, because it requires the shape of your lips that can be able to "adjust" to the right point. Plus, you need to create your own vibration. Oh, and you need to have the strength to hold your breath for a long time while blowing into the air hole. Flutes are almost similar to violins. It take years to be a professional.

ALRIGHT!! Thats really enough. I can see my talk's flooding...... really sorry for talking too much of music. I know some of you know music too but it's always good to share more about it. HAHA, I'm not showing off my knowledge. Like I said, I wanna share it and some were my parents' way of understanding music. I trust their judgements so I believe they are not wrong. Oh yeah, I know that among all instruments, I talked about guitars much more than flutes......because my father played guitar before!! He had experienced it, so he told me (^_^) My mother also know a thing or two about music even though she never learn it before thats why she is like, so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING....and I really admire her for that.

ART too. I love to draw but i don't know which one I'm more suited with; art or music. Oh well, it depends on every individuals. I might even take another hobby.....who knows?
